Contact Forms

Some examples of what you can do with the plugin. I’m not suggesting these are good examples, it’s just to show off some of the options.

Hi Graham, great job you have done with QCF, I’m using it in a couple of sites with good results. I do have one question, have you thought of adding the option to place more than one field in the same line, something like:

    Name___________ E-Mail__________________ Phone_________________
    Message____________________________________________________________

This way it would fit better in full width forms, like this one.

If this is possible thanks in advance, if not possible, thanks anyway for giving this to the community.

      Hi Gerard,
All you would need to do is play with the CSS. At the moment it’s set to make the input fields the same width as the form. All you would need to do is tweak the CSS to make this 50% or whatever. It’s not something I have planned to do but I could do some experimenting if you want.

Don’t bother it’s not like life and death, I will test with CSS and see what I can do.

    Hello ‘not a proper developer’,
You just did fine, many users of your plugins will agree to this! So cheer up and tell me if this plugin is safe to use. I can see a “spambot blocker”, but that is not sufficient. Are there any hidden fields (honeypots) and maybe adding the use of re-Captcha from Google and Akismet together may help too, maybe as an option. Ideally spam should be blocked for 101%, but I am satisfied with 99% too!
    Thanks for all the work!
    Felix.

      Hi Felix,
Akismet is built into the plugin. All you have to do is enter your API Key and it runs in the background. I don’t use reCaptcha as it’s a right pain in the bum for users. None of the thousands of users have reported spam problems so I’m happy with the maths captcha and aksimet.
